Busy Days!
I've had another one of those weekends where I feel like I've been going non-stop. I even slept in this morning and that didn't seem to help the slightly-crazed feeling at all.
Last night's poker game was fun. The people there were all very nice and I managed to win a number of hands, despite my general lack of knowledge about all things poker. So that was fun. I won no money, because we were playing only for poker chips, but it was still fun. I spent, I think, a total of $3 last evening (not counting the - ACK! - $35 for gas I bought) for pizza, so all in all it was fairly cheap entertainment.
The downside was that, I think, my guacamole didn't go over so well. :-( I always find that disappointing: when I make something that I like and share it with others and they don't find it quite as yummy as I do... But I guess that's how things go sometimes. On a similar note, the so-good-it's-evil chili cheese dip was, in my opinion, just ok. Perhaps our tastes in food are just not compatible?
This afternoon I went to the grocery store and, using the list from GroceryGame.com, I managed to save $62 by buying only sale items and/or using coupons. Sixty-two dollars! I now have multiple boxes of cereal, several bottles of dishwasher soap, and more toilet paper than I know what to do with! I like stockpiling!
I also bought a couple packages of pork, but I'm hesitant to start stocking up on a lot of meat because I don't yet have a big deep-freeze freezer. So that's my next plan: start saving for a freezer so I can buy meat on the cheap. (I'm currently eating largely vegetarian which is not necessarily a bad thing! :)
This week I'm staring down the barrel of five early, early mornings in a row (early = 4:30 am!), followed by the same thing the following week. On the upside, I'll get off work really early, but my guess is I'll simply hightail it back to bed for a nice long nap... Given the weekend I've had and the coming week, I've not done a lick of research on my healthcare topic... sad but true. But I hope to tackle that some this week.
I hope everyone is well! Hasta manaƱa, folks!

My mother had a huge deep freeze when we were growing up...could have stuffed a body in there! We didn't, of course!!! (Or DID we? Moohahaha)
Be sure and rest up during your early morning week...I'm older than you...I can say things like that in a Jewish mother sort of way.

So how was your anniversary or did you end up sleeping through it?!?!?!
Can't believe it was just about a year ago I was in PDX for your 1st anniversary - isn't that the night we went out for a curry & had really slow service & someone left early & you had to cover their share of the bill, or was that another time?!!?! My old age is kicking in so my 2 trips out west last fall/winter have merged in my mind - lol.
Good luck waking up early!!
