Really, I swear I am! I'm just... well... I'm tired. I'm really effing tired. And beat to hell. Fuh-teeg. SO. TIRED. of the fatigue.

So I've sat here this last week, with blog post idea after blog post idea swirling in my brain and, when faced with my options (go to bed versus stay up another hour to blog)... well, I did the only rational thing and I went to bed. At least, however, I now know when my body is starting to go into MS-freak-out mode and I can try to get take it easy and get more rest. So far I've avoided a complete and total relapse and only seem to be getting the occasional worsening of the symptoms I've had for almost a year now.

So. It's late, I'm pooped but I did want to post quickly. Here are a few random thoughts:

• Sara tagged me for a Meme. It's one that seems to involve some actual thinking, so it may take me a while. But fear not - I swear I'll get to it!


• Last night I dreamed that I was at a high school graduation with Paris Hilton and one of my high school chums whom I've not seen since I was actually in high school. I do not know why Paris Hilton was in my dream, nor why she was trying to push Proactiv and Mary Kay skin care products on me. I don't remember much more of the dream than that, except that there was some kind of commencement ceremony in which I was trying to carry my suitcases with all these skin care products. And I was having a terrible time. And Paris was doing nothing to help. I don't get it, truly, so I think I'm going to stop thinking about it. Bizarro, though, no?


• The class I'm taking this term is fairly interesting, but the book is, I'm convinced, the single most boring book ever written in the history of the world. It's one of those books that, instead of making a complex subject clearer and more understandable instead takes a topic, swirls it all around, adds a few 15-point scrabble worlds and only ends up confusing the hell out of the reader. So I read the online lectures and then start reading the book and end up with less understanding of the topic at hand than I had before. This is going to be a lonnnngg 5.5 weeks. Sigh.


• Tomorrow I go to buy my new air conditioner. Woo! Hot summer weather ain't got nuthin' on me. Word.


• I have hummingbird friends! Back in early March, I stuck my hummingbird feeder out - the one I bought in December, if you'll recall - and the other day a hummer flew up while I was working away in my office! On Saturday, I stopped by the ABoy Hardware near my apartment to price air conditioners (they don't even have them yet!) and ran across a different style of window-mounted feeder. So I bought one, brought it home, and stuck it on my living room window. The last couple of days, as I've sat in the living room in the evenings, I've seen hummer after hummer fly up, sit his little self on the perch and drink nectar for a bit. I suppose it might be the same little guy, over and over again. But really, it makes little difference to me. I can't help but smile every time I see one! It's just really, really cool. • Can you believe it's MAY already? And the end of May to boot! Good grief, time is flying and, let's face, I'm not having nearly enough fun. I've been trying to play the piano every day, so that's something.


• I'm coming up on my 1-year anniversary of my MS diagnosis. I don't know where to even begin about that - or if I even want to mark it in anyway. Maybe I'll wait and see how well I feel before I make that decision.
