Tired, Vertigo-y, Did I mention I was tired?
Wow. Well, the final project is turned in. Thank heavens. I'm pleased it's finished and actually am really happy with the header. (It was one of the quickest headers I've ever put together!)
Anyway, I started writing a post earlier about how I went diving into my web statistics and the silly search strings people use to wend their way to my site, but I was getting bored writing it, so I decided to abandon it lest I lose every last one of my readers.
But according to my hit counters, I have more than 3 readers. Woo! Actually, it would appear that the majority of people who come to my blog stay less than 30 seconds. But that's ok. For the rest of you, though, leave me a comment and say hello! I heart comments! :)
So this morning I woke up early (at like, 8:30 am! HA!), fully intending to get working on my school project. But when I got out of bed the room started to spin and I had to hang onto the wall lest I fall over. I sort of had that "I've drunk too much and the room is whirling" feeling, except I've been stone-cold-sober for the last 16+ months, so I was a bit taken aback. (It did make me realize how glad I am that I no longer feel that way on a regular basis!!) I'm not clear on just why the Vertigo decided to pop up, but it was bad enough that I had to reschedule my appointment with my chiropractor as I didn't want to get in a car and drive when I could barely stand up without falling over.
It did get better as the day wore on, however, so that's something. I still feel a little bit woozy but nothing like how I felt earlier in the day. So I managed to have lunch with my mom (she drove) and try to fix my sister's computer in addition to completing item number 1 on my list from yesterday. Tomorrow I think we'll start the spring cleaning (and by "we" I mean "me"), so long as the vertigo has subsided. If not, well, I shall have to tackle Number 3: I can attempt to clip the dogs toenails while sitting on the couch but the number of times goes sailing off the couch is up for debate.

Hope you are feeling better today!
Glad that project is done & dusted - I'm still in amazement about your computer skills. I think I do quite well being able to use Excel, Word, PowerPoint and at times a few others, but never in a million years could I design a database - for goodness sakes I can't even make a banner on my own!
I sometimes feel dizzy when I'm dehydrated, just
my 2 pence for the day, xx
Happy World TB Day tomorrow as well!!

congrats on the project, it looks great! (even on microsoft explorer, which usually screws up most websites.)
sorry about the vertigo.
most people are probably staying more than 30 secs on your site. statcounter has no way of telling how long they were on your site if they just look at your main page and don't click around.
from the statcounter page: "Common problem with Visit Length Stats --
If you only install the StatCounter code on one page of your website and your visitors never reload that one page. Then your visit length will always be less than 5 seconds! It is highly recommended to install the same code on all pages of your website you want to track."

when i was first diagnosed, i was having little tiny vertigo attacks all thru the day - just a few seconds at a time. it was a little scary when i was driving, but they passed quickly. now i only get them now and then, just a little surprise reminder.
i visit a long list of blogs every day, and i've recently added yours to the list. don't know if i'm #3 or #4!

I am a PROUD MEMBER of the NUMBER THREE club! And, even when I am neglectful and not leaving comments, I am ALWAYS catching a read whenever I can...sad thing is, if I only had a laptop again, I'd probably even be reading blogs from the toilet in my "spare time"! And I mean that in the most delightful of ways...LOL

I can totally relate to the vertigo thing. Things aren't really spinning for me but I do feel really drunk! Hope you feel well soon!

Heh ... don't get too wrapped up in the hit-counter ... it will consume you! Comments are the best guage.

I'm glad you weren't in my class this time; I would've killed myself trying to match you! Your site for the PHP class kept me from slacking. There's no way I would've wanted to add all that data for the database. Both the site and the tables (visual/content) are great. I'm jealous! By the way, you're hired to do any database/SQL work that comes my way! Interested? :) Hope you feel better.
