I love it when a plan comes together...
I woke up this morning with a headache, but I'm not entirely sure whether it was the result of the Avonex injection or caffeine withdrawal. My guess is the latter, as the headache seemed to subside as I got more coffee in me and the morning wore on. Kind of sad, that my coffee consumption has gotten to that degree...
Anyway, the plan to do my Avonex shot on Sunday night seems to have worked out well - at least for this week. I felt a bit drained when I woke up today but that faded as the day wore on. Certainly wasn't bad enough to keep me from getting work done. I spent most of the day sitting in bed working rather than sitting at my desk but that's a nice compromise - if I have to feel drained and still have to work, at least I can do it from my comfy bed! So, I will try the Avonex injection again next Sunday and hopefully it'll work out as a good new "routine" for me.
In other news... I've resurrected my old Windows Mobile Smartphone. As I mentioned last week, a couple of my devices died and I've been sans electronic calendar for quite a while. The loss of the iPod is tolerable; the loss of the PDA was quite a jolt.
So yesterday I pulled out the Windows Mobile Smartphone I bought back in late 2003 and charged it up. This evening I got the thing set up again and synced it up with my laptops... and also, I remembered why I ordered a new phone in the first place: this one draggggggggggs... (it is Windows, after all.) Still, I've now got all my contacts and appointments in one place that I can sync with my work computer. And, the phone itself has some really nice features in terms of easily finding contacts and whatnot. Eventually, I'd like to get one of these or something similar, but at the moment - after spending wayyy more than I wanted to on my apartment - I just don't have the money to spend on cell phones.
So my trusty little Motorola MPx200 is going to have to do, for now. (And, just for the record? I've been using the Motorola RAZR V3 and really don't much care for it. I can't even put my finger on why but, in a lot of ways, the phone is just clunky and cumbersome to use.)
So... in other news, my the second anniversary of my 29th birthday is rapidly approaching. Every month, my dad, brother, sister-in-law (and sometimes my new niece!) and I go out to dinner. Since my birthday is this month I get to decide where we're going and I'm having a tough time deciding. I usually pick Fernando's Hideaway because I just love their food... but I've gone there for my birthday dinner the last few years (er, except for last year when I was in Saratoga Springs, NY!) and I want something different. We went to Indian last month; the month before that we went to middle eastern. I'd considered Thai but I'm going with a few friends to Saucebox this coming weekend so I'm thinking I want to do something else.
So, my question is - do any of you in the Portland area have suggestions?? I have sushi on the brain as one idea; a southern or cajun place might be cool too (there's a great one on Fremont and 35th or so!) but I'm sure there are other places out there to try as well... so, if you feel so inclined - and I hope you do! - leave me your suggestions in the comments. Considerations are, in order of importance: 1) really good food... 2) ambiance - a warm, inviting atmosphere would be fab! ... 3) errr, there is no 3... :) So please, comment away!!

Caffeine withdrawal ... ugh. It gets me every time and damn if I can kick that habit.
Oh, and sorry about not having suggestions ... I have not been to the NW in ages.

Well I can't suggest any places to eat in Portland, but if you happen to make it to London anytime, let me know, I know TONS of fab places to eat, which are cheap as well (only places we eat since we're all students)
Glad your Monday worked out so well. It's Tuesday night here & I'm not sure I'm ready for hump day tomorrow, this week is flying by & I'm not getting as many results as I was hoping for at this point in the game!!
Oh well, off to watch About a Boy
