Happy Birthday To MOI!

Today is my 31st birthday and I feel like absolute crap. Not only have I got a headache and am just exhausted (probably a mild Avonex reaction) but my allergies are kicking up over... something I can't identity.

ARGH!

So I am at home and in bed today. I'd already taken the day off work, but sitting around watching back-to-back episodes of LIttle House on the Prairie really wasn't what I had in mind as a good way to spend it. Of course, I really didn't have much in the way of plans, but STILL! Lack of plans doesn't mean feeling ill is the next best option!! I did have lunch with my mom, but other than that I have just laid around all day.

My weekend, though, has been quite nice overall. I had the day off Friday as well, and went to the neurologist for a check-in after a month on the Avonex. My neurological exam continues to improve. I still have issues with fatigue and sensory issues (currently: tingling in my feet and left leg, numbness in the left side of my torso and upper left arm) but my gross and fine motor skills are all nearly normal. Yahoo!! It was a good visit and I don't need to see him again for a few months, unless something crops up again.

Saturday I slept about 12 hours and then Rennie and I went over to my dad's for a garden party at his neighbor's house. We'd watched Henri digging and moving rocks/dirt and sculpting and laying sod and all kinds of crazy stuff for the last few months in preparation for his daughter's 3rd birthday and Saturday finally arrived. So I went over there for a couple hours - Rennie was glad to see her grandpa! - and then headed back home to get ready for dinner. The new garden is absolutely gorgeous and it was a fun way to spend the afternoon. I met some very nice people and enjoyed getting to know the neighbors a bit better.

I'd planned dinner at Saucebox for a group of folks Saturday evening, and we all met up there around 8:30 pm. I love the food at Saucebox and had their very tasty green curry chicken! It was great to hang out with a group of folks I don't get to spend a lot of time with and it was fun to get dressed up. I even wore heels for the first time since my brother's wedding in early June!!

Sunday morning I spent at my mom's with the family. Mom made a brunch for us all and my sister and I opened gifts and at cake and pie and played with the dogs. Yesterday afternoon was spent much in the way today's was: napping and resting, though fortunately without the allergy attack.

Frustrating way to spend my birthday but fortunately the rest of the weekend has been very pleasant! (As soon as I get some energy I will finish writing about my trip last summer from Boston to Portland.)

Happy birthday, Zee! I hope the next few days find you feeling even better.

Happy Birthday Linds! I'm sorry you're not well and I hope you are feeling better soon. It was fun yesterday.

We love you!

Happy belated birthday to you!! I'm going to look for a crunchie bar today, I've gotten addicted to chocolate hob nobs & carmel digestives so far.

Happy BD ... sorry you feel a bit off. It is good to hear that there are improvements.

Happy Belated Cumpleanos! Sorry I missed it on Saturday. Maybe we can go for a movie to celebrate?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! (I know it's a little late!!!) Wow 31 - welcome to your 30s - you're officially in! ;-)

oh yeah I almost forgot Little House was one of my favs growing up, I use to look forward to being sick just so I could watch it (lol)
