See??? I TOLD You Sleep Was Overrated

Tonight, I turned the light out at midnight, only to loll around and think about things I needed to do for the website I just finished. And at 12:30? I turned the light back on and fired up the laptop... [sigh]

I'm tired but I can't sleep. My brain will just not shut off but I don't want to take a sleeping pill, because I took one last night. (Side note: for those of you who, like me, find that Ambien makes you wake up groggy and hung over? Sonata is a godsend. You can take it in the middle of the night and not wake up feeling like you've been hit by a truck.) I could go on and on about the wonders of prescription sleep aids in general and Sonata in particular, but really, it would just be killing time for me while I try to convince my brain to shut itself off. It's not even as if I've had a late-night caffeinated beverage or (much) chocolate or anything like that. I just. can't. sleep.

So the website: it's been a challenge in a number of ways - most of which revolve around the tech-savvilessness of the clients - and now that I'm finally getting the majority if it off my shoulders I'm trying to think of all the little details to help make the transition seamless. And of COURSE, I think of those details only after I turn out the light and the laptop is shut off.

Gah!

I'm going to try this sleep thing again, but if I'm not asleep in 30 minutes I'm breaking out the Sonata. Because trying to write about computer security (as I have to tomorrow) on 4 hours of sleep is just going to be ugly.
