The Beauty of the Laptop

At this moment, I'm sitting in the kitchen, typing away on my laptop while watching Sir Paul McCartney on Great Performances playing guitar - upside down and backwards - while doing my homework for school. (Oh wait, now Paul's playing "Lady Madonna" on the piano. It's talent like that that makes me wonder why I ever thought majoring in music was a good idea. I suppose we can't all be Paul McCartney or Mozart or Ray Charles.)

I am tired this week and so busy that I go to bed with all kinds of ideas and thoughts and worries and can't sleep - even when I'm up until 3 a.m. This color theory class is proving to be a lot of work - oddly, more than the web design class I took in the first half of the term - and it's getting intense just as work seems to be picking up.

So I'm burning that proverbial candle at both ends and trying to just take care of myself. Of course, that comes in the form of avoiding actually getting dressed so I can sleep in an extra ten minutes. But hey, details. Who needs to get dressed when you have no plans to leave the house?

Speaking of sleep... I am having trouble stringing thoughts together, so I'm headed to bed. Go watch Sir Paul - he's now playing Elvis Presley's bass. Good lord.

Scratch the sleep thing, I'm off to put my flute on eBay.
