I woke up this morning with a nasty migraine-in-progress. Well, to be more precise, I was woken up at 7:30 this morning by Rennie, who was apparently starving (because I never, ever feed her anything), and even at that ungodly hour my head was pounding. I fed the dog, she inhaled her food in approximately 3 seconds, and I went back to bed.

I woke up again at 10 a.m.ish and the headache was still there, already way past the stage where taking Excedrin would do me any good. So I did the only logical thing: I took some Excedrin and logged on to work. To, you know, tell them I was sick. And then, because I'd had 12 hours of sleep already and couldn't fall back to sleep, I ended up answering a few emails before dragging the laptop into bed with me, finishing up my homework for school and applying for a buncha jobs.

Yes, today - in my migraine-fueled haze - I was a job-hunting superstar! And all without setting even a toenail outside. (Come to think of it, I haven't been outside in at least 24 hours, probably longer...) Anyway, I applied for no fewer than 6 jobs today, some for which I even have an outside chance of actually being hired. I RULE.

But all of that is neither here nor there. The point is, my head hurts to the point where chopping it off would actually be less painful than leaving it attached to my shoulders. So in case you were wondering why you haven't heard from me, this is why: I feel lousy, I want to die and I hope to gawd that this headache is gone when I wake up tomorrow or I may have to actually find myself a hacksaw.

At least then I wouldn't have to worry about finding a job...
